Bridal showers are among the most intimate pre-wedding events that bring together close friends and family members to celebrate the soon-to-be bride’s special day. This is an occasion where people remember childhood memories, plenty of tears and laughter shared, and marriage advice passed down from older generations.

That being said, you may want to join the camaraderie of friends and family without raising eyebrows at the color of your attire. So, it is okay to wear white to a bridal shower?

If you want to wear pants to a wedding shower event, it is preferable to choose anything other than white. Even though white is one of the easiest go-to colors that you can wear, for the sake of the soon-to-be bride, you may want to avoid wearing white pants to your friend’s wedding shower.

What about jeans: is it okay to wear white jeans to a bridal shower? Similar to white pants, white jeans are a faux pas.  On matters of attire, it is always frowned upon to wear white to any wedding-related occasion, including a bridal shower. It is better to stay away from white entirely if the dress code isn’t indicated on the invitation or if the soon-to-be bride specifically states that it is forbidden.

When is wearing white okay for a bridal shower?

White jeans, however, might be a beautiful and fashionable option for a wedding shower if the bride-to-be has given the leeway for her friends to wear. However, you need to follow a few guidelines with your attire. They include:

  • Don’t wear ripped or too-skinny white attire
  • Don’t wear too revealing white clothes
  • Don’t overdress by having white accessories and white handbags which may eventually shift the attention to you.
